Did you know email was first introduced at MIT in 1965? Most of us don’t even think of email as “special” anymore; as a matter of fact most us use even faster ways to communicate with each through our business day or our personal lives.
Social Times and our friends at Constant Contact put together this interesting infographic about email marketing:
A few surprising statistics about email marketing today:
- 83% of people check email first on a business day
- 72% check 6 or more times per day
- 88% of people surveyed check their email via a mobile device
So is email marketing still relevant? Just because you check your email numerous times a day are you looking at “marketing” or deleting it?
If so much email is deleted how can you get important notifications and updates to each other? If you are in need of training your customers and have important updates for them how do you get pushed to the top of the pile?
